We opened our doors at Chalet Kernow last year and invited guests to make it their home for the holidays. We had a fantastic response with a near sell out first season and 60% of clients already planning return visits.

There are lots of exciting developments for 2007/08. Chef Jono has spent the summer down-under, working in some of Australia’s culinary hot spots to bring back new influences to the Kernow kitchen and we have doubled the size of our cellar to over 2,500 bottles. Most importantly we have a delightful new sister property, Le Ti Chalet, which sleeps 6-8 people.

ACCOMMODATIONS

The open plan living area upstairs is the focal point in Chalet Kernow and is where you will undoubtedly spend countless hours chatting in front of the fire and enjoying the culinary delights prepared by Jono and the team. The feeling of space is created by the double height ceiling and panoramic windows leading onto the south facing balcony with fantastic views out into the valley. The space is cleverly divided into areas for eating and relaxing with the TV snug area boasting an impressive 50" flat screen television.

The entire middle floor of Chalet Kernow is dedicated to the sleeping quarters and comprises two double bedrooms, two twin bedrooms and the fabulous bunk room, perfect for children and adults alike. In addition to this, the self-contained studio on the ground floor houses another twin bedroom, bringing the sleeping capacity of the chalet up to 14 guests in total.

The bedrooms all have their own en-suite bathrooms, excluding the bunk-room and one of the twin bedrooms which share the fantastic rain-ceiling shower room.

CK Service is precise, friendly, fun and bespoke. So you can relax and just enjoy your holiday. Each chalet has its own dedicated staff of 4 to ensure that you get the best out of the resort during your stay.

24-hour in-resort chalet chauffeur. We now have 2 Volkswagen Caravelles and a Range Rover Vogue. Just ask and you’ll be driven.
A professional chef to prepare breakfast, teatime treats and dinner. Sit down to a formal four course dinner with canapés or curl up with a simple supper of comfort food. Just let us know what you like.
The Chalet host. Attentive when you need it, invisible when you don’t they’ll be there to see that your boots are warmed, your glass is filled and that you always come home to a roaring fire.

FACILITIES

While you're not out on the slopes be entertained at Chalet Kernow. There are toys and games for all ages, a huge range of DVDs, all the latest games consoles (PS2, Wii and Xbox 360), Sky HD, WiFi connection with laptop... the list is endless. And for those moments when all you want is a bit of peace and quiet there's the spa, complete with sauna, steam-room, massage table and outdoor hot tub.

The master bedroom (including its en-suite) and the bunk room are networked into the chalet's state-of-the-art sound system, so you can listen to whatever music you like, wherever you are. Docking stations for iPods are provided in each of the other bedrooms. The bunk room also has its own flat screen TV, Sky box and PS2, ideal for keeping the little (and the not-so-little) ones out of your hair.

For anyone thinking of driving out we have ample garage and parking space for three cars.

Chalet Kernow is as much a destination for wine lovers as for ski lovers - our list covers over 150 different wines, representing the very best of the world's greatest wine regions.

Highlights among our champagne include 5 different vintages of Krug, as well as Dom Perignon, Cristal and vintage Bollinger. We hold a fabulous selection of mature vintage Bordeaux while Burgundy lovers can chose from the very greatest Domaines.

Italy is well represented with wines from Gaja, Ornellaia, and Sassicaia. Those who prefer the New World can chose from Ridge, Montelena, Philip Togni, Catena and d’Arenberg to name but a few. The list would not be complete without a small selection of sweet wines and vintage Port, including Chateau Yquem, to round off a perfect evening.

LOCATION

Kernow Chalet or Chalet Kernow is located in the heart of Verbier on Chemin des Vernes, directly below the main Medran ski lift. In the morning it takes less than 5 minutes to walk directly to Medran. However for those of you who prefer to warm up when you get to the slopes the chalet driver will take you directly to Medran which is a 3 minute drive or to Savoleyres which is an additional 5 minutes.

The shops, bars, restaurants and clubs of Verbier’s Place Centrale and main High Street are also within an easy 10 minute walk.

Notwithstanding the central location, your dedicated Chalet Kernow driver is on hand 24 hours a day, if required, to convey you to and from any location in the resort.
