Kingdom of Sikkim on a Royal Enfield

The Royal Enfield has not changed much since 1955, when the English motor cycle company built a factory in Madras to be able to supply the Indian army.

2 trips, 15 to 20 days

State of north east India, bounded by Nepal to the west, Bhutan to the east, Tibet (China) to the north and West Bengal state to the south The capital is Gangtok. The state is largely dependent on agriculture. Sikkim is a mix of subtropical area, and Himalayan valley with Mount Anchenjunga (8,586 m/28,210 ft)

The main languages are Bhutia , Lepecha, and Khaskura (Nepalese) - all official. Principal Religions are Mahāyāna Buddhism and Hinduism. Sikkim was ruled by the Namgyol dynasty from the 14th century to 1975, when the last
chogyal, or king, was deposed.

Day 1 fly to Delhi or Calcutta

Day 2 internal fly to Baldogra
- taxi to Siliguri and permits.
- taxi to Mirik to pick up the bikes (1,760 m)

Day 3 Mirik to Darjeeling (2134m) 70k
- night in a guesthouse

Day 4 Darjeeling to Ringchingpong Riding down the plantations towards the Rangeet river, tropical forest and fields
- night in a guesthouse

Day 5 Ringchingpong, Peymayanaste and Pelling(100k) Great climbing towards Pemayangtse Buddhist monastery (2,085 m), built in 1705 by the Nyangmapa order
- camping or hotel(2,000 m).

Day 6 Pelling Yuksam (120k)
Adventures mountain road trough narrow gorges toward sacred lakes Katchapony and Yuksam

Day 7 rest day Yuksam
- trekking/camping

Day 8 Yuksam, Tashiding, Soring Bazar,
Yangang and Mangkha (110k)
- night in guesthouse

Day 9 Mangkha Dichu Mangan Singhit(100k) Riding trough the deep Tista valley towards the main administrative town of Mangan and the Singhik monastery at the foot of Kanchenjunga (8588m)
- night in guesthouse

Day 10 Singhit Mangan Gangtok (110k) Towards Phodong monastery.
- night in guesthouse

Day 11 Gangtok Tsomgo lake (50k)
- lodge (3500m)

Day 12 Tsomgo lake, Kupup Bitang Lake(50k)

Day 13 Kupup Rangpo Sigtam (130k)
